There’s a phenomenon that happens in the locker room at the gym. No matter how big the locker room, if you walk in and you are the only person, no matter how hard you try, the locker you choose will happen to be right next to the locker of the very next person who walks into the room. Then the two of you stand there right on top of each other and try to change in a demure or at least moderately modest way in this gigantic, empty room. Does that happen in the men’s room as well?

nope. just like a dude must maintain proper spacing when choosing a urinal, he shall also choose a locker sufficiently far enough away from fellow locker dude. there is no precise distance – but every guy knows how close is too close.

I’m going to guess yes, even though I can’t know that for sure. I always feel awkward in the locker room, but it’s mostly for the other people, not me.

Yup. I had what felt like a few kilometers of space on either side of me on at a row of lockers. Then everyone seemed to leave the showers at the same time and descend on my row of lockers.
Somewhere, among the chaos, Murphy was laughing away.
