Hi everyone who keeps me on RSS and checks in every once and a while!
I just signed up for the annual Hudson River Swim to raise money for The Hudson River Pool in Beacon, NY. This is an organization that provides free access to a pool in the river. It’s great for local kids and folks. They also have a conservation arm that educates and generally cares for this vein of life running through our valley.
The swim is on July 25, and it goes from Newburgh, NY across the Hudson River to Beacon, NY. Each swimmer is required to raise $100 for the cause, but I’m going for $200 because I love the river THAT MUCH, and because Pete Seeger is somehow invovled.
So no pressure, but for the love of the river, send some cash here!
Oh, and as an added incentive and so that I’m not just using this URL to shill, for every donation of $10 or more, I’ll write a blog post of quality, and if I reach the full $200 mark, I’ll do my own NaBloPoMo, and update the blog every day for an entire month (not counting weekends, that’s Willy time.)
Thanks for donating!
And if that wasn’t enough reason to click here, doing so will reveal the internet’s worst kept secret, my real name.

A donation in exchange for a MONTH of Tannenbaums? That’s a deal!

How far a swim is that? My husband asserted the other day that he thinks he can swim the English Channel, based on the fact that he swims at our local Y almost every day. Yeah.
This is a great cause, and I admire you!
