I would LOVE to do what you did. To see THAT show in THAT place? You are lucky! My children did get to see the Rockettes in Nashville and had a blast.

You know what though? This is the first time in YEARS that I am not looking forward to Christmas. I have no idea what is up. Keep your fingers crossed for me because as the Momma around here, I am the one that makes the holidays happen for my kids. Hubby is NOT a festive type.

I’ve never seen the rockettes but I imagine it’s be a blast. I love the feel of NY during the holiday season. Living in Philly I plan on taking the train up sometime before Christmas to check out all the window displays and eat a pretzel of course

That photo is awesome. I’d love some brisk weather to hit LA so it can feel at least like the seasons are trying to change. I’m still amazed that it’s less than three weeks til Thanksgiving. My mind’s been on school deadlines (and politics, obvioulsy) more than it has been on holidays.

That last picture is fab, by the way! I love how nancypearlwannabe described it as ‘kinesthetic’. It really is.

The first picture had me singing “Jesus Christ … Superstar!”

I’ve never seen the Rockettes in NYC, but they ship a whole company of second-tier Rockettes to perform at the Grand Ole’ Opry house in Nashville for Christmas every year, so I have seen them there. Cheesy, yes, but the toy soldier act is fantastic.

That’s great! I love iconic timeless events that usher in the holidays for you. I think for me it’s the Macy’s Thanksgiving parade. Or just perusing the Christmas decorations in Target.

Oddly, my first guess upon seeing that first picture was that you’d gone to Palmyra in western NY for some crazy celebration of the Angel Moroni.

Because that’s what I would do if I lived anywhere in NY.
