Just one more day, okay?

In solidarity with all my teacher and librarian friends, I was going to come back from blogcation today.  However, I have some big news that I can’t quite announce yet, and I prefer to come back from blogcation with big news.  I have half a mind to say something like, “if you can guess my big news, I’ll send you a prize” but seeing that I still need to send prizes out from, uh, a year ago, I just don’t want to commit to that again.  (And btw, Deb and RDL, I still have those prizes, and I am working on getting past the mental block that’s keeping me from putting them in the mail.)  So no prizes this time, but feel free to conjecture about my news if you want to, or just skip down there to the post from last Friday and read about how to make vegan jelly cupcakes, and I promise I’ll let you know what’s going on tomorrow.  Or maybe the day after.

  1. Did he finally ask you to f-ing marry him already? :)

That’s no longer an option, or something I want. I’m loving the single life! Sort of.

  2. Ooh… so mysterious. I got nothing, but I hope it’s GOOD big news!

    It is, in a way.

  3. I promised to send out prizes in April and still haven’t done it. The weird part is I think about doing it almost every day… what the hell is my problem?

There are just some things that can’t be done for no particular reason.

  4. You’re buying a house/condo/the tree farm.

Sadly, the time’s not right for buying. Damn.

  5. ahhhhhhhhh the suspense!!!

I love to leave ‘em hanging…

  6. I changed my vote. The big surprise is you’re going back to school.

That’s an interesting thought that even I didn’t think of. Maybe I should…

  7. Big news indeed. I think you’re moving. To another city. For a new job.

    Right, and then wrong.

  8. Oh! I can’t wait! The suspense is killing me!

I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to incite murder!

I’m thinking new living space. Or something to do with the ‘rents bookstore business.
Or they revoked your ESG medals because of some minor violation.

Oh no, not the medals! You were right the first time…

  10. I bet you’re really George Bush!

    Sorry, that was mean.

I’m not THAT kind of evil.

  11. I was feeling bad because it took me so long to send you your blog package, but now I feel much better since it only took me a few months.

My guess is that you are moving back to NYC. Or Minneapolis.

Don’t feel bad, it was so good when it arrived.

  12. The landlesbian asked you to be the officiant at her commitment ceremony, where she is committed to the Happy Hotel where she will be the Happy Landlesbian! Congrats all around.

Creative choice, but the only commitment the landlesbian is doing is at a state-run facility.

  13. You’re moving to Boston to live next door so we can watch BSG and make dinner together?

    A girl can dream.

  14. You’re really McCain’s running mate, not this Palin chick???

No, my real guess is you’re moving. Back to the big city of Manhattan.

I am more qualified that Palin…

  15. My guess is that you found a new place to live, but what do I know?

    You know exactly what!

  16. Moving, married. . . preggers maybe? A new job also crossed my mind. The suspense! I’m not sure I’ll last until tomorrow.

Yes, no, hell no. And the job’s still stable at the moment.

  17. I’m terrible at guessing games! Just tell me! Puh-leeeze! Oh, and if it’s that you are moving back to Manhattan, we are so going out for drinks and silliness.

I think I’ll just be visiting Manhattan from time to time.

  18. Hey, if you move to Boston we can have a drink.
Guesses are Birmingham, or new job.

You’re one of the romantic ones!

  19. New baby? Sex change? Buying a house?

Sorry, but I guess I haven’t been reading your blog long enough to have an educated guess…LOL!

Sex change. That’s not on the horizon at the moment.

  20. Just found your blog, and you’ve got me on tinderhooks – can’t wait to hear!

I bet you bought a pony.

A pony! I don’t know if there’s one big enough to hold me. And I’m bogged down enough with the cats.

  21. Intriguing! I love a good mystery!

    Just call me Agatha.

  22. you are lucky i am so patient. i might just have to drive up/out there and get it. next time you’re in boston give me a ring and i’ll meet you (in real life) since i already did in a dream.
