*****************
Desperate for some kind of contact to ground her, Xinni tossed aside her reservations and threw her arms around Boone and kissed him deeply. But in the moment he opened his mouth to reciprocate, light began to shine out of Xinni’s beautiful warrior-princess eyes and ears. As they continued to kiss, the light grew in intensity and became visible under her skin and through her clothes. Moments later, the light was shining out of Boone’s eyes, ears and disproportionate upper-half skin as well.
Both Xinni and Boone were mesmerized by the light and froze to each other as if being grounded by thousands of watts of an electrical charge. As the light grew even more intense it became blinding and all-encompassing, they tried to scream. As they opened their mouths, they imploded into a cloud of stardust. Boone’s shining orb fell to the ground.
Silence fell in the room, a small worm-like creature emerged from a dark corner. It was actually quite big for a worm, and quite an uncanny bright blue color as well. The tuft of teal-colored hair on his head wobbled a bit as he said to him self, “not again, not again.” He crossed to the far corner and reached out his head to touch a small indentation in the smooth sheeting. As soon as he made contact, the panel of the wall slid out a foot and a half to reveal a silver hose.
“Stardust, stardust, everywhere, gettin’ in the machines, gettin’ in me way. Stupid, stupid sape-i-oids, gettin’ in me me way. Vacuum em’ up! Vacuum em’ up! Stupid, stupid sape-i-oids, I turns ‘em to stardust when they touch because they were bad, they were bad!”
The worm pushed away the orb on the ground and pointed the hose at the cloud of dust. As he was fumbling with the on button, a lanky man with a dark hair accented by a shock of white down the center entered and yelled, “Dirt!”
“Dirt, are you trying to vacuum up that stardust cloud of Sapieods?”
“Yes, I is, and you can’t stop me, Steward!”
“Dirt, we may very well need those Sapieods later, I demand that you put down that hose this instant!” the Steward commanded as he picked up the orb from the corner. “We can use this to put them back together.”
“Vacuum!” yelled Dirt.
“Orb!” yelled the Steward.
If the worm vacuums the stardust cloud of Xinni and Boone into oblivion, go here.
If the worm puts down his hose and lets the Steward do his thing, go here.

Yours includes a song! I think for the next CYOB, everyone’s section should include a song.

Again I feel like you’re probably spoofing something I’m not a big enough nerd to know about. Either way, I like the twists you took.
