I hope you enjoyed celebrating Presidents yesterday, and didn’t end up with the fate I had: no mail, forced to go to work. Actually, I took the morning off to do laundry and see a new orthopedic surgeon for a second opinion. There was only one problem with this new doctor. He was so nice, understanding and responsive to my needs that I actually have nothing to report from the visit other that I’m going to be fine, and I’m going to get the pins removed from my ankle in about a year. Also, I’ve made an appointment with a new physical therapist, who is coincidentally the person who recommended this doctor in the first place, and who is also coincidentally the man from my swim team who swims faster than me despite the fact that he has 50% fewer legs than I do.
Other than that, I’m on my way to Great Barrington Vermont Massachusetts today for work stuff and then off to Rhode Island tomorrow for work stuff. So if you don’t see me around the internet like you used to, rest assured, I’ll be back to lurking on your website on Thursday.
I have to mention one more thing on my mind. After I finished swimming today, I was talking to the coach about the upcoming Harvard meet. While we were trying to figure out my times for the 100 yard freestyle, the ambient music in the pool area, which had been playing all morning, changed from classic rock to the theme from “Duck Tales.” whoo-oo. Then it went right back to some Led Zepplin or something. Needless to say, it’s the Duck Tales that’s going to be stuck in my head all day as I’m stuck in a car all day with my boss all day. whoo-oo.

And now I very much have that in MY head. But all I really remember of the song is “Duck Tales woo hoo” so over and over and over it plays.

I’ll consider myself lucky to have forgotten the theme to Duck Tales.

I very well remember the theme to “Duck Tales” and will now also have it in my head. It’s a refreshing change.
I’m glad you found a nice doctor and drive safe!

Great thanks. Now I am going to have the Duck Tales theme in my head today. Spread the misery why don’t you.
And yesterday, I totally feel your pain, because I too had to deal with all work and no mail!

That’s so random. Who plays the Duck Tales theme song? Everyone knows the Snorks are way cooler.

This post just popped up on my bloglines with one noteworthy change…Er, did you get to Vermont before you realized you should be in Massachussets? Eh, they’re close anyway.

Really, Christmas Tree? Really? Did you have to lodge the Duck Tales theme in my head? I was perfectly happy with the Michael Jackson song that was running on an endless loop (“Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough”, if you must know).

I actually remember it more like “Duck Tales–a WHOO ooh!” But you know, either way, equally annoying.
This is old news, but I had to work on Presidents’Day, too. Boo.
