The Daily Tannenbaum

My special destiny

November 25, 2007 · 14 Comments

img_1759.jpgSince it’s still the weekend of thankfulness, I quickly want to say thanks to Birmingham for getting me into Nerdstar Geekactica against my better wishes, and thanks to the lovely people who make BSG for putting on a great show last night. We all really hope the strike ends soon because I can’t wait one minute more to find out how it all ends up. And thanks to the Man of Action, who gave me a ride to New Jersey where there is television. Because of your wonderful work, I completed one of my original 30 days of NaBloPoMo activities despite the broken ankle. Speaking of that lofty goal, I want to let you know that the contest from the first day is still on. If you comment on all 30 Daily Tannenbaum posts you automatically win something. I’m just not sure what that is yet. I just know it will be good. Now please, go back to enjoying what remains of your holiday weekend.

I’m liking the commenting here everyday way better than posting EVERY day. spoken like a true slacker.

I may not finish NaNoWriMo, but NaBloPoMo and NaChriCoMo* are a breeze.

You’re so good at the nomenclature. Love it!

Thank you for your subtle excitement about BSG! The movie is loaded on AS’s DVR, but we haven’t watched it yet…

The only thing I didn’t like is that now I have to go back and watch all the old episodes.

I’m a little bit happy we’re still on season 2, since that means we’ll have plenty of time for the writers to stop striking. But… is it over for good? Are you watching the SERIES finale?!

I think I’ve commented on every post so far… it’s so hard to remember in a month of 30 billion posts!!!

No, not to worry. This is a filler movie, it explains some backstory. However, the producers have said that season 4 will be the last. If the writers ever go back to work and finish it.

I believe I am still in the running for NaChriCoMo as well, though if for any reason it comes down to me vs. NPW, I am totally OK with bowing out so NPW can be the victor. After all, winning a blog contest is on her list of 30 things to do before she turns 30, and I’d hate to stand in the way of that.

I do believe that you and NPW are both still in the running. Oh, here at the Daily T, I’m all about multiple winners. I hope to provide an update on the last day.

I was thisclose to buying BSG minifigs this weekend at Newbury Comics. But I really wanted a Chief, and the fig just didn’t look like the Chief. And then I drove my husband nuts digging through every single Doctor Who package to try and find just the right 10th Doctor action figure. Which I never found *sob*

    I need help.

I love the Chief. He’s my favorite.

if you want, I can hook you up with some BSG comics based on the new series…you know if the strike continues and you “need a fix”

    I’m here for you

I actually have them already… So sad. Yet so good.

I am so out my element here. Who is this star and why must they battle? Didn’t Chrysler make the Galactica back in the ’60’s, all chrome and fins? Hmm.

You must rent it, with whichever rental company you chose. Then you will understand.

There’s only ONE Season 1, Disk 4 at our local video store and it’s defective. I’m thankful for B-star G, but not for this current glitch. I’m going to have to start calling around. Why is this show so addictive?

That reminds me of the time my roommate and I took the subway 180 blocks south to get a working copy of “Buffy the Vampire Slayer, season 5 disk 2.” When you need it, you need it bad.

So much to be thankful for.

I didn’t know there was a contest going down. Dammit. I need to visit (and, apparently, comment) more often. I’m curious how many people are in the running for the prize? It ain’t me, but how many have the stamina?

By the by, did you know that Oregon is the top Christmas tree producer in the USA? I’ve been reading up. On Oregon. Not so much on Christmas trees.

I didn’t know that about Oregon, but then again, I don’t know much about Oregon. I haven’t done the tally yet, but I think that 3 people are in the running. Oh, and all regular commenters will be honored in some way.

I know that I have not commented on every post. Can I wait until the last day and then go back to all the posts I missed and add comments? Procrastination!

Yes you can! Who am I to discourage my favorite nation, procrastination?

Ack! I’ve been cursing the TiVo gods since Saturday because it didn’t record it. I definitely need a fix to get me through to April.

NOW….is the contest that you have to comment on all thirty posts at anytime before the 30 days are up OR comment at the time they are posted? Cause I can TOTALLY comment on all thirty…but obviously not at the time they were written. Cause I’m not a time traveler.

    Or AM I…

You have until November 30. At midnight.
