Hi everyone:
This is Elizabeth, aka Noelle’s mom. Just wanted to update you that Noelle was released from the hospital late yesterday afternoon and is now recuperating at Mom & Dad’s house in New Jersey.
Her biggest frustration, aside from being incapacitated for 8 weeks, not able to drive, swim or kick that damn ball again, is that the computer is located up a flight of stairs that she doesn’t feel able to negotiate today.
So she asked me to write to let you all know that she’s doing well, is in good spirits, but really misses being able to communicate with all of you directly and let you know how much all your comments meant to her. I was able to print them out so she could at least read them, if not respond. She can’t wait to be able to get back online and catch up on all the unread blogs and thank you all “in person” for your good thoughts.
It looks like instead of 30 things to do in the Hudson Valley month, it will have to be 30 books you must read, or 30 things to do with a crutch, 0r 30 best ice cream/gelato flavors.
Hopefully tomorrow you will hear from Noelle in person.
Thanks from Mom for cheering her up!
Elizabeth

I would definitely enjoy the 30 best gelato flavors, but 30 days of things you can do with a crutch might be more… amusing.
Hope you’re feeling better, Noelle!

I look forward to 30 must-read books! And I admire your spirit of continuing your blog posts this month despite your injury! Feel better, soon!

And despite the injury, the blog remains up-to-date. Amazing the lengths that you go to, Christmas Christmas Tree. Just one reason why we all adore you. Come back soon, you are missed.
Thank you to Mrs. Christmas Tree for the update!

Hey you know what one of the 30 things you can do with crutches is? They’re like Go Go Gadget Arms with which to hit people upside the head! Like…when they don’t bring you a cup of tea fast enough- or if they don’t fluff your pillows fluffy enough. But don’t use them on your Mom, she seems like Cool Peeps. AND technologically saavy. I don’t know if MY mom (although also a Cool Peep) could exhibit such accomplished blogging!

Aw! I feel for you! I had a herniated disc last year and was incapacitated for a loooong time. It sucks!
I hope you get to watch great movies (and bad ones that are only good if you’re on pain killers), eat lots of yummy gelato, and read some good books. (I just finished The Dissident — awesome).
Feel better soon!

Noelle, you are in it to win it! I’m impressed that an injury on day 1 of NaBloPoMo hasn’t knocked you out of the game. Such a trooper.
Feel better soon!

Wow. How awesome is your family to update for you? When will Birmingham take his turn updating?
Hope you’re feeling better soon!
