The Daily Tannenbaum

I took a business trip to western Massachusetts on Wednesday, which was a very nice change from the ordinary office work. While I was in Lenox, I had a little extra time to get an ice cream and enjoy the beautiful day. I walked by an assisted living community, and this little doggie slash garbage bag dispenser was posted next to the sidewalk. In the bright sunshine, I couldn’t quite make it out right away. At first, I thought the cut out was the dog’s behind, and it was pooping out the garbage bags. On closer inspection, I realized that the dog was just crying out the bags. Much like the Native American in the circa 70’s PSA, the doggie was crying tears (tears made of plastic bags) to remind you to pick up after your animal. I think it’s great that someone at the old folk’s home cares enough about the community to provide trash bags, but the method used was a little creepy. Thankfully, I had my camera with me for once.
