After 268 posts, it was time for a change

Whoa, did I just blow your mind with this new layout? Never fear, you’re still at The Daily Tannenbaum, home stuff that I write about my life in the Hudson Valley. I just changed the colors a little, after reading about energy efficient websites. Because white backgrounds take up more power to run on computer monitors than dark backgrounds, every time you open my website, the power saved over an-all white website will allow me to keep the light on at my desk while I write this post. Or something like that. Either way, it’s the little bit I’m doing to keep polar bears from going extinct too quickly.

You can read all about energy saving colors and try them out for yourself at This Website.

I have been meaning to change my template for a while, but I had no idea there was an environmental reason to do so. Fascinating! Al Gore would be proud of you. :-)

I never knew about this. I prefer white layouts because they are easier to read at work without being noticed. But I will have to think about it now.

rdl – you don’t have to, just keep my website open longer. Oh, and I will keep an eye out for the book!

stefanie – In all I do, I aim to please Al.

-r- – I never thought about the read at work issue, because my monitor faces the wall. Hopefully, other sites will start moving to this color scheme, and then your indiscretions will blend in better…

I’m down with this new look. A couple years ago, Funky Carter used Blogger, and the layout was very similar.

Also, I am trying to get better at leaving comments.

Also, I’m trying to leave as many Blogger comments as I can because — hello? — I love looking at my new zombie avatar.
