The sweet merciful rain is cleaning the grime off my car as I type. Other than that and coming in fourth place at Trivia last night, and the letter I wrote to my landlady expressing my concern about the $139 increase in this month’s electric bill (the four houses on the property have one meter, and she divvies it up as she pleases) there’s precious little news I can bore you with. So instead, I want to share this unique link I saw on Boing Boing today:
Microscopic pictures of bugs splattered on windshields taken by some German Guy.

Wow. That was just…wow.

That is brilliant.
On a similar note, have you been to this site? It’s my new favorite: http://geekologie.com/ Also full of strange and wonderful things invented by people with WAY too much time on their hands- kind of like people who take pictures of squished bugs.

For some reason, I’m reminded of the odd dance troupe at the Oscars. I wonder if they could do dead bugs the same way they do penguins.

Ok, Geekologie may have been replaced as My New Favorite by Neatorama- thanks Pagalina! A bloody stairway! Can’t get any better than that!

I let the weather wash my car, too.

My last name is Hooker. I have two working hands. Who wants a backrub?

liz – wow, indeed.
hope – That site’s new to me, thanks for the link!
mer – We should petition to get the bugs on next year’s telecast.
pagalina – I’m hoping that they’re artificially colored… Otherwise I feel bad about every drive I take.
rdl – you’re welcome, I suppose!
Mrs Kennedy – It really is the only economical and ecological way to get things done!
Hooker – I’m glad to hear you’re intact. Next time I’m up in your area, I’ll call in that backrub, okay?

a $139.00 increase? whoa, that is more than my entire bill – and i live in a drafty townhouse! i would rage, indeed.
and yeah, i cannot remember the last time i actually paid for a car wash. thank you, mother nature.

I have no idea why I included the backrub offer. I was going for some sort of smarmy humor that I missed by a mile.
If I was actually called out I’d rub though. I ain’t skeered.

She divies it up as she pleases? Eh what? Is that legal?
